Want to save yourself time while also increasing user engagement?  Repurpose old popular social media posts while swapping posts across social media platforms.

How to Uncover Your Popular Social Media Posts

Here is how you can find the posts your friends, fans and followers like the most:

  • Facebook

Visit Facebook’s Insights tool and click on the Insights tab.  In the left sidebar click on the “Posts” link.

From here you can scroll down and find the posts that received the most Reactions, Comments & Shares.

  • Twitter

Head over to your Twitter Analytics dashboard.  You can then scroll down to find your top tweets by the month.

  • Instagram

While Instagram does not have a built-in analytics tool, you can use one of the many third-party tools available to find your top posts.

What to Do with Old Content

There are a lot of ways you can repurpose older content.  Below are some of our favorites:

  1.   Turn Popular Tweets into Graphics

If you have text that your audience loved, pop that text onto an image.  You can then share that text on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.

  1.   Transform Social Media Posts into Blogs or Videos

Have a Facebook post with loads of comments and opinions?  Think about turning that post into an insightful blog or a video to reach a whole new audience.

  1.   Share Top Instagram Photos on Pinterest

Take your your most beloved Instagram shots and upload that photo to a relevant web page on your website.  Log into Pinterest, click on “Pins” and “Save Pin”, and then write a catchy description.  You can then post that pin to a relevant board and share it with your followers.  This will send more traffic to your website and give your company’s exposure a boost.
