New in Social Media: Facebook Video Metrics, Twitter Amazon Cart
Search Engine Optimization, Social Media
To help you make the most out of your social media marketing, we compiled a list of some new, noteworthy updates in the social media that caught our attention this week!
Facebook Video Metrics
New metrics for videos are coming soon to Facebook’s Page Insights and Ads Reporting. Right now, as a Page owner, you can only see how many people started watching your video. With this new rollout, owners will see new data such as video views, unique video views, average duration of video view and audience retention.
LinkedIn Language Targeting
LinkedIn has actually added two new features to their platform to help brands reach more users: language targeting and personalized page feed. These new features are ideal for Company Pages and Showcase Pages that are looking to effectively target multiple regions around the world.
Language Preference allows companies to share updates in specific languages. Followers who has chosen their language preference in Spanish sees the post in Spanish.
Personalized Pages allows a LinkedIn member to only see a Company Page’s updates specifically intended to them.
LinkedIn + Evernote
Bonus update: LinkedIn and Evernote have teamed up. Now LinkedIn members can use the Evernote mobile app to scan physical business cards and the contact will automatically be added as as connection on LinkedIn.
Twitter Amazon Cart
A new way to shop online. Twitter users now have the ability to add Amazon products to their cart without leaving Twitter.com. When a Twitter user sees a product they like on their Twitter feed. If the product has a amazon link, they can simply reply to the tweet and add the hashtag #AmazonCart and the product will automatically be added to their cart on Amazon!
