Instagram Introduces New Advertising Tools for Marketers

As a follow up to the introduction of Instagram advertising back in November 2013, Instagram is now rolling out tools for advertisers to track the success of their campaigns.
This was announced yesterday in a post on the Instagram for Business blog. According to the post, the new set of tools will offer advertisers insight into the three following areas:
Account insights that allow businesses see the growth of brand awareness by viewing impressions, reach, and engagement.
Ad insights will show the performance of ad campaigns with brand analytics (impressions, reach, and frequency) for each ad delivered to a targeted audience.
Ad staging gives advertisers and their creative teams to preview, save, and collaborate on ad creative for upcoming campaigns.
This is huge news. As we all know, Instagram is still one of the biggest image based social media channels out there. Now, advertisers have the opportunity to discover information on reach, impressions, and engagement for their posts and campaigns. Advertisers will get to see how well their target audience is responding to sponsored images. Brand marketers will have a chance to better understand the best day and time to post a photo or video.
