1. Inject a sense of humor into your content. People love to laugh. What better way to delight your potential customers than to inform, sell, and show your personality?
2. Publish photos of your team being themselves. Who knew your team had such cool employees? These awesome people are the creative minds behind your brand. Show them off!
3. Encourage employees to be social on behalf of your company. Posting pictures, status updates, and videos encourage relationships and site traffic.
Want to see these tips in action? Our CEO and New Business Development Director recently attended a conference hosted by the Society for Marketing Professional Services. We aimed to sell our digital media marketing to the marketing directors of architecture, engineering, and construction firms.
Equipped with a giant Oscar award, a portable red carpet, some silly props, and a camera, we were able to attract leads, start conversations, and have a lot of fun in the process! Everyone that visited our booth left us a business card. We were able to incorporate social media by creating an Instagram album for archdigitalmedia, where we instantly uploaded photos of people visiting our booth. Out Instagram was linked to our SSP Facebook and Twitter accounts, creating a live feed of the event. We even created an entertaining follow-up video to thank everyone for taking photos at our booth.
Our video ended up garnering over 50 views in less than 24 hours! Our standard marketing practices, paired with a few quirky techniques proved to be effective and entertaining for both ourselves and our prospective clients.
